  • Holter Electrocardiogram (ECG)

    Overview:
Holter Monitoring can identify problems undetected by a normal electorcardiogram, by recording heartbeats over an extended period during normal activities.

    Detailed Information:
Heart activity is recorded over an extended period, usually at least 24 hours. Electrodes are placed on the patient’s chest. A battery-operated monitor is worn in a shoulder harness, around the neck, in a pocket or attached to a belt. The patient keeps a diary of all activity undertaken during the monitored period.
