Stent Implantation I had a partially blocked coronary artery. My doctor said I needed an angioplasty and a stent. I didn't want a stent implanted but she made it clear it was her way or the highway. My condition was such that leaving the hospital to seek care elsewhere was risky. I wonder when medical schools are going to train drs. to involve patients in their own care - and not to "blow off" someone who has an opinion about what is best for them.
