Coronary Stent Saves Brother-In-Lase
Last week, my brother-in-law had 20 minutes of crushing chest pain before going to the emergency room. During that time, he thought he was dying and gathered friend and family around. Two hours later, a totally occluded coronary artery was once again open. The pain was gone and life began again. There were no visible scars as a coronary stent was simply inserted through the femoral artery.
What a miracle these new devices are that continue to save hundreds of lives each year.
My brother-in-law had experienced chest pain on and off for a few days before finally going to the hospital. Don't wait. Time is critical in preserving heart muscle.
We were very lucky!
