Heart Murmur
Diagnosis and Treatment
After detecting a murmur, minimally invasive tests will be ordered to help determine the underlying cause, if there is one. These tests might include an electrocardiogram, echocardiogram, holter electrocardiogram, chest x-ray or blood tests. If necessary, cardiac catheterization may be performed. Treatment depends on the underlying cause.
